Door County Half Ironman

In July, Krissy's Madtown team made its way up to Egg Harbor for the Door County Half Ironman. 

We were pumped for a great weekend and a good test for the team competing in a distance competition with other racers. 

Lisa and John competed in the Sprint the day before - so we got to go down and cheer them on during the Saturday competition.

 

Here is Lisa coming out of the water --- all smiles!

Race day brings lots of excitement and energy in the mTT tent. 

There were 11 teams gearing up to race and it was all hands on deck to get the racing chairs ready. 

As you can see, the clouds were a little overcast but we had high hopes it get the race in.

Sadly the race didn't start on time due to this nasty weather... 

We hunkered down in our cars for about an hour and then were told that it was not safe to race with the chairs that day. 

We were bummed to say the least, but of course safety has to be the top priority. 

I had such plan for great photos - team shots, racing shots, family shots ---- 

guess we will jsut have to wait for Ironman!
