Team dinner --- first of many!

We got the team and families together on Sunday night for a team dinner. I think we are all excited to see everything starting to come together and spending time together is just the icing on the cake. 

There is always lots to talk about --- training opportunities, fundraising efforts, helping one another through the triumphs and pitfalls of training, etc. But I really believe the time together is just good for us all.

Family is a big part of the equation too --- Lily is clearly a big help than the little guys - but we are all happy to have them with us for the ride!

Ironman song

So I have been meaning to post this for a while now. 

This is what I consider the "Ironman song" after watching that amazingly inspirational video about mTT Ironman 2015. 

Before the holidays the choir from Lincoln Elementary came to St. Mary's to sing for patients, staff and families and I was able to record a snippet from their performance.

Meet the Team! --- Here's Lisa!

She likes: everything about the beach, long hot baths, re purposing furniture and a fabulous glass of wine

Her hobbies: painting, swim, bike run of course gardening

Favorite Pastime: sitting in the sun (with lots of sunscreen) and a bunch of girly magazines, running with my bestie Kim!

Guilty pleasure: dark chocolate and pasta

He likes: All Wisconsin Athletics, The Packers and Brewers, Italian food, relaxing at the lake, campfires, and rough housing with his sons

His hobbies include: swimming, biking, running (of course), fishing, hunting, house projects and consuming local craft brews. 

Favorite Triathlon memory: Completing his first Ironman surrounded by his family and friends and his 39 week pregnant wife cheering him on!

Guilty Pleasure: All things peanut butter.

Likes: Time to relax and enjoy the day.  There just isn’t always a lot of this time available.

Hobbies: swimming, biking, and running fill my days quite well. 

Favorite pastime: Watching old movies like Caddyshack, Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters, and anything Clint Eastwood.

Guilty pleasure: just about anything sweet, an occasional beer or Jack Daniels and Coke, and a good cigar now and then.
